Ginger Scallion Sauce Recipe (姜葱)

Ginger scallion sauce is a versatile sauce that complements countless Asian dishes, including Hainanese chicken rice or white cut chicken! Follow my recipe to make this delicious sauce, using just 4 ingredients!

Ingredients

  • 3 stalks scallion (green onions) - about 1.5 oz
  • 1 large thumb ginger - about .75oz
  • ½ tsp salt or to taste
  • cup neutral tasting oil

Instructions

  • Finely chop the scallions and finely mince the ginger.
  • Transfer them into a heat proof bowl and top with salt.
  • Heat oil, then pour directly into the bowl containing the chopped scallions, ginger and salt.
  • Blend ingredients together thoroughly and adjust according to taste. Enjoy with Hainanese Chicken, White Cut Chicken and/or rice!
