Taro Ube Smoothie Recipe

Ingredients

  • 4 oz cooked taro root (see note below)
  • 1 oz cooked ube (purple yam) (see note below)
  • 2 tbsp sweetened condensed milk or to taste
  • 1 cup milk of choice
  • 1 cup ice
  • 1 tbsp honey (optional) or to taste, for extra sweetness

Instructions

  • Place the cooked taro, cooked ube, sweetened condensed milk and milk (and optional honey) in a blender.
  • Blend until smooth.
  • Pour the smoothie into a cup of ice and enjoy!

Notes

* Taro root and ube can be boiled or steamed. Please ensure that your taro root is fully cooked through, as raw taro may be toxic and potentially lead to irritation.
