I recently dined outdoors at @waterzooi_port_washington . I’ve visited the Garden City location a handful of times, but this was my first experience at the Port Washington restaurant and it was a memorable one. Portions were so generous we had to take leftovers home and everything we ordered were delicious! No, we didn’t order any alcohol this time bc I am breastfeeding my infant, but we shall next time! I highly recommend their specialty - mussel pots, which we completely devour within minutes! They’re so good, even my toddler enjoys them. Check out what we ordered in this spread and visit this family-friendly restaurant to see for yourself, then roam around town, soak up the sun and breathtaking water views that Port Washington offers!

𝗦𝗢𝗬 𝗦𝗔𝗨𝗖𝗘 𝗖𝗛𝗜𝗖𝗞𝗘𝗡 or “See Yao Gai” is a classic Cantonese dish traditionally made by braising a whole chicken in soy sauce based liquid. Try my EASY recipe using leg quarters only, but if you prefer white meat or a combination of both, feel free to use a whole chicken. 𝗪𝗔𝗧𝗘𝗥 𝗖𝗛𝗘𝗦𝗧𝗡𝗨𝗧 𝗖𝗔𝗞𝗘 𝗼𝗿 𝗠𝗔 𝗧𝗔𝗜 𝗚𝗢 is one of my dad’s favorite dim sums. Its gelatinous consistency combined with the crunch from water chestnut pieces make them irresistible (and fun) to eat. Serve them at room temperature or pan sear them hot.
