Guys, I can’t believe Christmas is right around the corner! My family of 16 foodies will be heading straight to my place this year, where I will be hosting for the very first time. Yes, I didn’t purchase a house until a couple of years ago, finally allowing me an opportunity to put up a real Christmas tree and host a family holiday party! As excited as I may be, I know that I have a lot of work cut out for me … given I have kids at home, plus a full-time (and part-time) job! Nonetheless, this mom has her menu down pat and plans to simplify things the night of by using frozen dumplings, served with 5 different EASY dipping sauces! How’s that sound?
Here’s my video recipe for the 5 sauces, paired with various Twin Marquis jiaozi / gyoza from their frozen dumpling line. They’re holding an event from 12/16/22 – 12/23/22 on Weee!, so make sure you check it out here:

This is a sauce that my dad made for our dumplings growing up. I like the balanced flavor profile – salty and slightly sour, making your dish the more appetizing.

- 2 tsp ginger, minced
- 1/2 tbsp neutral oil
- 3 tbsp water

- 1 tsp white vinegar
- 2 tsp sugar
- 1 tsp sesame oil
Instructions:
- Heat neutral oil in a small pan, then add scallion, garlic and ginger and stir until aromatic.
- Add water, light soy sauce, white vinegar, sesame oil and sugar. Stir until well blended.

- 1 tbsp water
- 1/2 – 1 tsp Sriracha, optional
Instructions:
- Add all ingredients into a small bowl. Mix until well blended.
SAUCE #3: SACHA
I LOVE LOVE LOVE sacha sauce, especially during hot pot. However, combining sacha with other ingredients magically makes this delicious sauce for gyozas!
