Before I even had the chance to submit a post on the cloud bread recipe that I recently tested and posted a YouTube video on (last Tuesday), I experienced a power outage that lasted about 6 days. Thanks to Hurricane Isaias, countless trees were uprooted by my neighborhood, accompanied by down power lines and no cellphone reception ☹️. Fortunately, Steve purchased a generator at the start of COVID-19 that has kept one of our refrigerators running, phones and flashlights charged and rice cooker & air fryer functioning. We couldn’t get our Internet to work due to wiring, but no complaints here.
Honestly, 6 days may seem like a long time, but it wasn’t all that bad. There was no AC to keep us cool, but we managed with tank tops, shorts, nice showers and open windows. Our stove was operating with the help of lighters, so I was still able to cook before sunset. Surprisingly, we still had hot water. The thought of world poverty and hungry/cold children in third world countries put things into perspective and reminded me how fortunate we are here (and oftentimes spoiled). If these children don’t even have access to basic necessities like food and clothing, who are we to be complaining about no Internet or TV?
While these are first world problems we’re undergoing here, admittedly, when I heard my refrigerator turn on unexpectedly this afternoon, it sounded like music to my ears. First thing I did was laundry because we’re running out of clean underwear LOL 😏. I let my LO watch a bit of TV while I cooked her dinner. She also brought me around the house to double-check that all of our light switches are operating 🥰. We had dinner together. I read her a bedtime story. Now I am here, updating my blog to include the latest recipe 😁. Priorities, priorities!
So here we are, the cloud bread recipe from TikTok! I don’t frequent TikTok, but when I do, I find some amazing shuffling videos and once in a while, a good recipe like this one. This was so EASY to make, EASY on the eyes and delicious!!

Notes
- I opted for confectioners sugar since it is lighter than table sugar and seems to pair well with an airy & fluffy bread, but you may choose the latter if you wish.
